Dr. Ira Allen will present a lecture titled “On Panic as Inducement to Salvage” on February 23 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern. The lecture will explore the concept of panic, framing it as a valuable response to the crises faced in modernity and suggesting it can motivate constructive action for future generations.

Dr. Lisa A. Flores will present the inaugural Rhetoric Unbound lecture titled “Seeing through the Spectacle” on January 26 at 8 p.m. Eastern. This 30-minute talk explores the spectacle as a rhetorical form linked to dehumanization and antiBlackness, examining its vulnerabilities and alternative ways of seeing and knowing. Discussion follows the lecture.
